In line with The Prime Minister's statement on the 23rd March. It is now with great regret that we cannot open our churches even for private prayer until these restrictions have been lifted.

These are challenging times but we must remember that we are the Body of Christ, and we form the Church, and so we must still live out our Faith, albeit in a different way.
In the absence of our churches being open for worship and prayer,  Bishop John has suggested that we create somewhere in our homes that we can go and pray as a family, remembering that although the Church buildings may be closed, the Church should continue to thrive in each of us.
Fr Alf will continue to celebrate Mass in private; this will ensure that prayers and Mass intentions will continue to be offered and the obligatory weekly Pro Populo Mass for the people of the parish will also continue to be offered.

During these times we are also precluded from making house visits, please remember to keep an eye out for the lonely, elderly, those self-isolating and the housebound. We can always keep in touch with others through the Ministry of the Telephone.

Fr Alf will, as ever, keep you all in his prayers and he asked for your prayers in these challenging times.
